This Support Cover Plate is designed to be placed over a QRMax Base Mount to provide a flat surface for you to clamp non-QR controllers on top of the QRMax Base Mount whilst providing protection to the QRMax Base Mount itself.
A good use case example is if you have multiple controllers and most are QR enabled, but one cannot work with our mounting system. e.g. the Logitech G25/29/923 Wheel Bases are too wide and hav a large overhang which would foul the QRMax lever, so the controller and the QR system just would not work together.
The lever on the QRMax system protrudes and normally this is not a problem. There is a cutout on the lever side of the Support Cover to allow the lever to be swung open and out of the way of the front face so that the overhang of the yoke can be as close to the wheel/yoke deck as possible.
There are pads on the underside and webbing to provide maximum support for your controller above it and protect the guides on the QRMax Base Mount. The surface is textured to provide a grippable surface for your controller.
The Support Cover plate cannot be used as a blank for drilling.
You will need a QRMax Quick Release Base Mount to mount to your rig in order to use the QR Plate in this kit.
Note: This item 3D printed, there will be obvious print lines on this product due to the nature of 3D printing.
