This Support Cover Plate is designed to be placed over a QRUHD Base Mount to provide a flat surface for you to clamp non-QR controllers on top of the QRUHD Base Mount whilst providing protection to the QRUHD Base Mount itself.
A good use case example is if you have multiple controllers and most are QR enabled, but one cannot work with our mounting system. e.g. the Logitech G25/29/923 Wheel Bases are too wide and have a large overhang which would foul the QRUHD levers, so the controller and the QR system just would not work together.
The levers on the QRUHD system protrude slightly and normally this is not a problem. The QRUHD Support Cover is extended by the same measurement to provide a flat vertical surface to butt the controller up against.
There are pads on the underside and webbing to provide maximum support for your controller above it and protect the guides on the QRUHD Base Mount. The surface is textured to provide a grippable surface for your controller.
The Support Cover plate cannot be used as a blank for drilling.
You will need a QRUHD Quick Release Base Mount to mount to your rig in order to use the Support Cover Plate.
