This Base Support has been developed to provide support for an existing QRUHD or QRMax Base Mount on to the Main Beam of the DOF Reality series of rigs for the central mounting of large FFB joysticks such as the VPforce Rhino.
The QRUHD/QRMax Base Support DOFR-MB is laser cut from 6mm Aluminium plate and finished in fine textured black satin powder coat and supports either the QRUHD Base Mount or the QRMax Base Mounts. Depending on the fixing kit chosen, it either fixes to the DOF Reality rig's Main Beam with the supplied M8 Countersunk Screws, Washers and Nuts in multiple positions along the main beam OR directly on to the newer DOF Reality HOTAS Mount bracket.
NOTE: for the HOTAS option you will need 145mm clearance from the centreline between the fixing holes in the HOTAS forks (with the forks facing away from the seat) to be able to operate the QR Lever closest to the seat itself, so you may need to do some work on the DOF Reality bracket to get the correct spacings.
The M8 holes are CNC counterbored and countersunk as are the M6 holes and there are M6 threaded holes for the QRMax or QRUHD Base Mount to fix to.
The QRUHD Base Mount (available separately) is fixed to the QRUHD/QRMax Base Support DOFR-MB/H with the 6x M6x12mm Countersunk screws supplied with the fixing kit.
The QRMax Base Mount (available separately) is fixed to the QRUHD/QRMax Base Support DOFR-MB/H with 4x M6x12mm Countersunk screws supplied with the fixing kit.
For Main Beam fixing. there are various configurations of the DOF Reality rig, some with a 'naked' Main Beam, some with a Y-Frame/Bars. Use the images below to determine which type of rig you have.
NOTE: If you have a rig with a Y-Frame configuration, it is crucial to ensure that you use the Y-Frame spacers supplied in the fixing kit to create a level surface to mount the base mount to in conjunction with the "Chocobar".
