These joystick extensions are specific to the base type option chosen at the time of purchase and the supported grips are based on the Manufacturers of the Joystick Base specifications. This information is available on each of the Base manufacturers websites.
When a custom joystick extension design is requested, we will make the size available on this page.
Most parts are 3D printed including the 30mm tube, however the Base Screw (threaded collar) for these extensions is now manufactured from anodised aluminium only.
The extensions are hard wired with 5-pin connections only.
IMPORTANT: The Socket holder and the Base Plates are specific to the Joystick Base chosen in the options and are tailored to reduce the extension rotating in use when tightened correctly on to the base. Please see our individual joystick extension pages per manufacturer for more details.
Compatible Bases Types per option selected:
The style of the extension (gooseneck or kinked), is determined by the height and the offset, values for other metrics are only stated on the model name if different to the defaults below:
- Forward Rake is 0°by default
- Grip rotation is 15° CounterClockWise by default for wrist comfort when centrally mounted.
The naming convention is deternmined by the height, offset, rake and grip rotation.
Naming Convention Examples (the 'C' between the height and the offset stands for custom):

* Not recommended for non-FFB devices (see below)
Restrictions and Advice:
- Offsets of over 75mm are only recommended and supported for FFB devices due to the abiity to set the centre by software.
- Heights of over 150mm have not been tested successfully on FFB devices, therefore are not recommended or supported
Whilst we will manufacture to your requirements for heights and offsets for the joystick base of your choosing, if you wish to defy the restrictions above and not take heed of our advice, this will be entirely at your own risk.
Notes:
1. Please disconnect the base from the power and USB when swapping between joysticks/extensions!
2. Moza Grips have a tight thread (the threads are flattened inside their knurled/threaded collar) so are a little awkward to get on, but do go on and then tighten up nicely. Please ensure that you do not cross the threads when adding them on to our extensions.
3. Pushing your joystick beyond it's movement limits with force may result in breaking the extension itself, particularly with the longer extensions.
5. If self calibrating your FFB base, please ensure that the grip does not come in to contact with any part of your rig or any obstructions as the impact and force may damage the extension detrimentally.
6. Adding the extension allows the supported grips to operate in the same manner as directly connecting them to the Joystick Base only.

Note: This item is primarily 3D printed. There will be obvious print lines on this product due to the nature of 3D printing. The colour of the base interface, plug and socket holder (not visible once installed) will vary depending on model chosen. We have colour coded them to make sure we send you the right one!
